Day 1: Arrival and Acclimatization

Arrive at Leh airport, where our representative will meet you and transfer you to your hotel. Spend the day acclimatizing to the high altitude by staying hydrated and avoiding physical activity. In the evening, you will be brief about the days ahead and meet your team. visit the iconic Shanti Stupa and Leh Palace. followed by a stroll through the local bazaar. Overnight stay in Leh.
Day 2: Leh to Lamayuru | Sangam Point | Hall of Fame

- Highlights: Moonland View, Lamayuru Monastery
- Distance: 120 km or 74 miles
After breakfast, embark on your Himalayan bike expedition towards Lamayuru. Start with a museum celebrating war memorabilia, before proceeding to Pathar Sahib Gurdwara for a short prayer. Next, experience the intriguing phenomenon of Magnetic Hill. Continue to the deserted area of Taru Thang and savor the view of Ladakh Konkha. The journey today follows National Highway 1, ensuring a smooth ride.
After covering some miles, you will be greeted by the stunning Moonland view of Lamayuru. Take time for photos before heading to your hotel. In the evening, explore the Lamayuru Monastery situated on a hill, offering a serene environment and captivating views. Return to your hotel and prepare for the adventurous day ahead. Overnight stay at Lamayuru.
Day 3: Lamayuru to Padum via Warila, Sir Sir-La, and Singe-La

- Highlights: Offroad trails, Zanskar river, and picturesque landscapes
- Distance: 240 km or 149 miles
Fuel up with a hearty breakfast for a significant day of riding. You'll soon reach Wanla village and then the picturesque village of Photoksar, where stunning monasteries await. Pause at Sir Sir La and continue to Singe-la Pass at 16,590 ft, turning left into Nyerak village.
The route to Padum is a testament to the rugged beauty of this Himalaya bike trip, featuring offbeat tracks that challenge your riding skills. Admire the spectacular landscapes and feel free to stop for a photography session. As you ride, the Zanskar river accompanies you until you reach Zangla, the administrative headquarters of Zanskar. A short ride later, you'll spot Stongday village, with its beautiful monastery prominently visible as you head towards Padum. Explore Padum's main market and enjoy the local ambiance. Overnight stay in Padum.
Day 4: Padum to Purne, Phuktal Monastery Trek via Shinkula Pass

- Altitude Gain: 200m (compared to Padum)
- Highlights: Offroad adventure, Gombo Rangjun, Shinkula Pass
- Distance: 80 km or 50 miles
Start your day with a nutritious breakfast and set out for Purne, again on asphalt terrain. The ride will take you through the beautiful village of Purnay, offering mesmerizing views. Continue to the last village of Zanskar, Kargyak.
From Purne, trek towards the remote Phugtal Monastery, an excursion taking about 2-3 hours depending on your pace. Enjoy lunch at a small guesthouse and restaurant run by the monastery monks. Trek back to Purne camp, dine, and relish the tranquil silence of the valley. Overnight at Purne Campsite.
Day 5: Purne to Sarchu via Gombo Rangjon and Shinkula Pass

- Altitude Gain: 450m (compared to Purne)
- Highlights: Gombo Rangjon, Shinkula Pass, Baralacha-La Pass
- Distance: 250 km or 155 miles
After breakfast, depart for Sarchu, navigating through challenging offroad terrain. The scenic route will take you past the village of Kargyak, offering stunning vistas. The presence of Gombo Rangjon, a sacred mountain, enhances the spiritual aspect of this journey.
Navigate the tricky descent from Shinkula Pass and join the Leh-Manali highway at Darcha. The transition to asphalt provides a much-needed respite for your back. Arrive in Sarchu and settle in for the night. Overnight stay in Sarchu.
Day 6: Sarchu to Tsomoriri via Ghata Loop and Moore Plains

- Highlights: Lachung-La, Ghata Loop, Pang, Moore Plains
- Distance: 180 km or 111 miles
Start the day with a robust breakfast before leaving for Tsomoriri. This leg of your Ladakh Himalaya bike expedition offers premier offroading experiences. Encounter the famous Ghata Loop, a series of 21 hairpin bends providing spectacular aerial views if you have a drone.
After ascending Lachung-La, stop at Pang for lunch before venturing onto Moore Plains, a 40 km stretch of barren land offering extensive visibility. Turn at Debring towards Tsomoriri, passing the Puga Hot Springs. If time allows, enjoy a soothing soak before reaching Tsomoriri. Overnight stay at Tsomoriri.
Day 7: Tsomoriri to Hanle

- Altitude Loss: 200m (compared to Tsomoriri)
- Highlights: Hanle Observatory, Hanle Monastery
- Distance: 140 km or 86 miles
Post-breakfast, begin your ride to Hanle, a location with only 200 families. Witness the impressive Hanle Observatory, one of the world’s highest for astronomical observations. Enjoy the stunning views at Mahe bridge and the hot springs. The night sky in Hanle offers a serene atmosphere, perfect for stargazing. Visit the Observatory and Monastery before settling down for the night. Overnight stay at a camp in Hanle.
Day 8: Hanle - Umling-La - Hanle

Day 9: Hanle to Leh via Chumathang

Depart early from Hanle to Leh, covering 240 km. Make a refreshing stop at Chumathang Hot Springs for a soothing bath. The journey includes a mix of offroad and asphalt, ensuring a dynamic riding experience. Visit local attractions like Thiksey Monastery and the school featured in "3 Idiots" if time permits. Overnight stay in Leh.
Day 10: Leh Rest Day

Leh is a vibrant cultural hub, and spending time here will give you a deeper appreciation of Ladakhi traditions and lifestyle.
Day 11: Departure

We require minimum strength of 4 riders to operate one group. We have the right to cancel the group if we do not get the minimum strength of riders in any group.
In case of circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to road blockage due to a landslide, heavy snowfall, avalanche and other natural disasters, war, terrorist activity and political insurgency, we reserve the right to cancel/reschedule/change tour plans. We cannot pay any compensation for monetary/value loss in such unforeseen situations.
Mototour Ladakh reserves the right to modify the sequence of the day-wise tour itinerary without prior notice. The itinerary is subject to changes due to traffic schedules, restrictions, landslides, weather conditions, or any other unforeseen travel-related circumstances.
